It’s December and that means one thing.. CHRISTMAS! Are we all excited to see what Santa brings us?

Well here’s a few things you should know about December at the West End.

1. The minikegs are almost sold out! Get your name down on one quick before they all go.

2. For those that miss mini kegs, we have gift packs, hats and t-shirts as great presents too!

3. Our opening hours are as follows.

ALSO. We have our annual Christmas eve party & charity event in aid of the Takeover Radio Children’s Media Trust. There will be a quiz, there will be a raffle, there will be food & xmas crackers. Last year we managed to raise £280 which is amazing. This year will be bigger and better!

Even though its on the opening hours, I want to emphasise the point that WE ARE OPEN CHRISTMAS DAY. There will be mulled wine, good beers and the first ever group photo outside of the pub. Which shall be framed and mounted on the wall for all to see.

We hope you can make it this festive season.

If you would like to donate anything for raffle prizes, please email info@thewestendbrewery.co.uk.

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, 5l mini kegs are here.

These little beauties are going to be filled with our 3 core beers. (And yes, they were a massive pain to bring inside without the use of a forklift!)

Copper – A 4.3% Best bitter, with smooth caramel and light smoked flavour, accompanied by a pleasant bitter finish.

Stout – A smooth full bodied session beer, weighing in at 4.1%. One for the dark beer fans!

IPA – A more classical IPA, at 5.2% and containing Mosaic and Topaz hops, this beer has a juicy resonance to it.

These 3 beers will be available in mini kegs all year round with the occasional special being released in them too.

All mini kegs are ‘keg conditioned’ meaning they contain live beer. The product inside may be hazy. But that does mean these are vegetarian and vegan friendly!

Pre-order ready for collection early December, just in time for the Christmas festivities!

£20 each.

Oh, Vienna!

On the 8th of September, we were joined by Matt, the winner of Brewklopedias homebrew club competition. We spend the day brewing his winning recipe of Vienna lager, containing a triple malt and triple hop bill.

After the brewday, it fermented for 7 days with lager yeast at 13 degrees. It was then packaged into kegs and bottle on 10th October and has been conditioning in our cold store since.

Now it’s on the bar! 5.4% Smooth, Malty and very autumnal. Available from the tap room and soon other outlets around the midlands too.

Bottles will also be available from Brewklopedia.

Welcome to the WEB blog!

We’ve been open for over a year and a half and still don’t have a website. Terrible I know.

However, we have a blog! I thought it would be a better, more chill way to publish what’s going on in the brewery tap and brewery itself.

Expect at the very least weekly updates maybe more depending on what exciting stuff we have going on.

Now for the necessities.

Opening hours: Monday – Thursday 5pm – 11pm, Friday 2pm – Midnight, Saturday Noon – Midnight, Sunday Noon – 10pm

Also be sure to check out the Facebook and Twitter for smaller updates.
